CABLE PRODUCTION PLANT IN SKAWINA (Formerly Jaworzno)

The Cable Production Plant in Jaworzno has been operating since 1987. Over 300 standard types of cables and wires are manufactured here in a wide range of colors, with PVC, PE, PP, TPE, and halogen-free insulation. Five extrusion lines enable the production of electrical cables with cross-sections ranging from 0.14 mm² to 120 mm², with a daily production capacity of up to 1000 km.

Cable production is entirely based on eco-friendly materials that comply with the RoHS Directive and REACH regulations. The company is also engaged in development work aimed at using porous materials. The lines for producing cables and wires are equipped with modern control systems and drive systems using PLC controllers.

MANEX specializes primarily in the production of wires for automotive and railway vehicles. The company also manufactures a wide range of electrical power cables, including grounding and bonding cables, winding and supply cables for submersible pumps, installation cables for construction and electrical machinery industries, as well as cables for household appliances and custom cables according to provided patterns and specifications.

The main customers of the wires are manufacturers of automotive wiring harnesses for global automotive industry corporations, energy sector companies, and companies specializing in the production and modernization of railway rolling stock.

COPPER PROCESSING PLANT IN SKAWINA

Since 2004, MANEX has expanded its activities to include a Copper Processing Plant. All the machines working at the plant were manufactured and supplied by the German company Niehoff. The delivery devices for these machines were manufactured in-house.

In May 2008, the Copper Processing Plant was expanded with the commissioning of the M85 drawing machine for wire rod processing. This expansion increased the production capacity for copper processing by adding the technological process of producing Cu cables and wires from 8mm diameter wire rods. Currently, four single- and multi-wire drawing lines have a production capacity of up to 450 tons of bare copper products per month.

The range of manufactured copper wires and strands includes diameters from 0.10 mm to 3.50 mm. Eleven modern stranding machines enable the production of copper and aluminum strands with cross-sections ranging from 0.14 mm² to 120 mm². MANEX also offers wire and strand drawing and stranding services for copper and aluminum.

MACHINE PRODUCTION PLANT IN SKAWINA

In early 2000, MANEX launched a Machine Production Plant in Skawina. The plant’s offerings include design, construction, and manufacturing of machines, equipment, technological lines, and control systems for machines and production lines in the cable, automotive, medical, and other industries.

The company also provides servicing, assembly, and commissioning of production lines on behalf of external companies.

RESEARCH LABORATORY IN SKAWINA (Formerly Jaworzno)

To ensure the quality of the produced cables, MANEX established its own research laboratory. In early 2012, the first stage of the laboratory’s expansion was completed to enable testing and evaluation of single-core harmonized cables, obtaining the marking rights.

Currently, MANEX continues to expand the laboratory’s capabilities, including performing all tests for automotive cables in accordance with ISO 6722.

The laboratory is equipped with calibrated measuring equipment, with certificates issued by laboratories accredited by PCA.

The laboratory currently conducts the following tests for cables and wires: weight, length, and angle measurements, mechanical parameter measurements for insulation and conducting core, electrical property measurements for insulation and conducting core, high and low-temperature tests with controlled humidity, aging tests for insulation, and other tests specified by standards, especially concerning smoke emission and flammability of cables for railway rolling stock.

QUALITY UNDER CONTROL

Modern control and measurement systems applied in the production lines guarantee the highest quality of products. Drawing and stranding lines in the Copper Processing Plant are equipped with high-quality laser devices for monitoring the wire, strand, and rope winding process with automatic precision tension adjustment.

In the Cable Production Plant, high-quality products are guaranteed by a modern machine park. It is equipped with non-contact devices for controlling diameter, breakdowns, and centering of insulation, along with an eight-point non-contact measurement of wall thickness and the ability to generate production reports with current and statistical parameters. The company’s production and logistics are supported by an automatic system for generating statistical production data and a product labeling system using barcodes.

Since December 2002, MANEX has held the ISO 9001 certification, and since 2008, it has held the ISO/TS 16949 quality management system certification, which standardizes existing quality system norms in the automotive industry within the global automotive sector. The company also has an environmental management system certified under ISO 14001.

In 2006, MANEX received official accreditation from one of the global automotive corporations and was added to the qualified suppliers list for insulated cables for the automotive industry. For railway cables, the company holds current conformity certificates from the Railway Institute in Warsaw. In July 2012, MANEX obtained the IRIS certification.
